How to Perform HTTP Monitor in On-Premise Environment

Hello!

In this article, we will introduce you how to perform HTTP Monitor in an on-premise environment.

HTTP Monitor monitors the status of a web server and sends notifications in accordance with it.

Unless Hinemos is connected to the Internet, the priority of monitor results will normally become “Unknown”. This time, we will introduce you how to perform HTTP Monitor in an on-premise environment.

Note that this method will only work when Hinemos Manager and Hinemos Web Client are installed on the same server.

1.Advance Preparation

Register the repository carrying the same IP address as Hinemos Manager.

2.Specifying Monitor Item

・First of all, open the Monitor Setting perspective. Press [Create], and then select HTTP Monitor in the Monitor Type dialog.

(This time, we selected HTTP Monitor (Numeric).)

・Next, specify all of the required information except for URL.

(Specify the repository created in Advance Preparation in the Scope field.)

・Enter the following in the URL field.

http://[Web Client Server’s IP address]#hinemos

・Clicking on the “OK” button will complete the process of creating a Monitor setting.

3. Performing Monitor

After the Monitor Interval time set in the Monitor setting passed, we selected the Monitor History perspective and confirmed notifications with priority other than “Unknown” were sent by the HTTP Monitor we created earlier.

This time, we performed monitor using HTTP (Numeric). Other types of HTTP Monitor can also be performed in the same way.

That’s it for the brief introduction to how to perform HTTP Monitor in an on-premise environment.
